Our mission is to empower the next generation to live happier and healthier lives. We believe that creating sustainable fitness habits at a young age is a great way to achieve this goal! 

Every healthy lifestyle is built around three main tenets; balanced nutrition, consistent exercise, and a strong mindset. Our personal training program is structured in a way that will build all three of these principles in a sequential step by step fashion. This is key for staying consistent, and creating a lifestyle which will produce sustainable, long term results.

We seek to  create a healthy relationship with food and to educate those we work with on how our bodies use food as energy. Additionally, individuals in our programs will learn proper form, techniques, terminology and other information that will provide the confidence to exercise on their own in any gym, studio, or other fitness studio. Finally, and most importantly, our mindset coaching will teach the importance of how to adjust our deeply ingrained thought patterns to overcome any obstacle.   We are excited to begin this journey with you!

INTRODUCING OUR MOTIVATIONAL COACHES AND TRAINERS

Joe Avey has been in the fitness industry for two years as Group Exercise instructor and Personal Trainer. During this time he has coached over 2,000 classes at Orange Theory Clarendon, Rosslyn, Ballston and Navy Yard. As the head coach at OrangeTheory Clarendon he has been instrumental in building one of the top performing studios in a franchise that now has over 1,000 locations worldwide . Over the course of these two years, he has seen firsthand how the success of any individual's fitness journey is directly tied to the trust they build with their coach. The perfect program is only as effective as the amount of trust the individual has with their instructor, trainer or coach. Joe has worked extremely hard to maximize the trust with the members at Orangetheory by constantly providing passion for the brand and a burning desire to help others achieve their goals.

Joe is now bringing the same passion, enthusiasm and desire to Think Happy, Live Healthy with the intention of serving as a mentor to the teens in our program and guide them along their journey. He will use fitness as a way to create habits that naturally build self discipline and confidence.

 

 

Joshua Rasch has been physically coaching and mentally training youth for over ten years. He started out working with summer camps focused on encouraging teenagers to face their mental roadblocks and grow through controlled, challenging experiences. Realizing a passion for youth through this experience, he began to seek out unique opportunities to marry challenging, physical experiences with mindset growth and development. This vision quickly led to the opportunity to train and lead groups of youth to numerous countries including Botswana, Thailand, Panama, Costa Rica, and Mexico to do humanitarian and service work. He continued to build on these experiences back in the States by speaking to high-schoolers in the public school system on the self-esteem and relational challenges affecting so many teenagers. Currently Joshua splits his time between coaching students and adults, always carrying a strong
focus on mental health and a strong mindset.

Joshua lives in Washington DC and is active and outdoors as much as possible. He is a firm believer in the power of mindset training coupled with physical activity, and can personally speak to its transformative power.
