Anna Headshot.jpg
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDR Certified Therapist

Anna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in the treatment of anxiety and traumatic stress reactions. Using a collaborative, compassionate and non-judgmental approach, her goal is to understand each person’s unique experience, offer tools to improve resiliency and provide a supportive environment in which balance can be restored to the body and mind.

Anna believes that the key to breaking free from negative thinking patterns and unhealthy behaviors is to increase awareness tothe body's physiological responses to stress and well-being. In session she will offer strategies to activate the body’s natural healing processes to provide relief from emotional and physiological distress. For more than ten years, she has accompanied clients as they build confidence in their ability to heal from the past and live more authentically in the present.

Her clinical practice is heavily based in principles from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM). She has supported individuals in overcoming distress related to anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, chronic pain, mood disorders, emotional regulation, loneliness, perfectionism, patterns of disordered eating, life transitions and communication. Most recently, Anna has had the privileged experience supporting medical professionals during the pandemic.

Anna is trained in EMDR and holds a Certificate in Integrative Trauma Psychotherapy from Fairfield University. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Welfare from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Outside of clinical work, Anna enjoys pilates, planning and organizing events, exploring the outdoors with her dog, and spending time with family and friends.
