Izabela Osiniecka
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a deep commitment
to providing compassionate, trauma-informed therapy to individuals
navigating complex trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and
LGBTQ+ issues. My therapeutic approach is rooted in a trauma lens,
meaning I recognize how past and ongoing traumatic experiences shape a
person’s emotional, mental, and relational well-being. I am
particularly focused on helping clients work through complex PTSD,
which often arises from prolonged or repeated trauma, and its impact
on self-worth, relationships, and daily functioning.

As an interactive relational therapist, I prioritize building a
collaborative, authentic, and safe therapeutic relationship. I believe
that healing happens within the context of a strong and trusting
connection, where we can explore your experiences, emotions, and goals
together. My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic modalities,
such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and psychodynamic techniques, tailored to your needs and experiences.

As a social worker, I am deeply passionate about social justice and
political advocacy. I recognize that systemic issues—such as
inequality, discrimination, and oppression—can significantly impact
mental health. I am committed to being aware of how these forces
affect you, and I integrate this awareness into our work together,
particularly in addressing challenges that may be specific to
marginalized groups, including the LGBTQ+ community. I strive to
create an environment where you can feel heard, validated, and
empowered to reclaim your sense of self and agency.

Whether you're navigating trauma, struggling with anxiety, or
experiencing relationship difficulties, I am here to walk alongside
you on your journey toward healing. Together, we can work to unpack
the layers of your experiences, build resilience, and help you move
toward a more fulfilling life.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, attending concerts, traveling, and exploring DC with friends. I live in DC with my two cats and identity as a member of the LBGTQ+ community.
