Mental health support shouldn't stop at the workplace doors. That’s why Think Happy Live Healthy is excited to roll out our newest initiative: bringing therapy, psychiatric care, and wellness services directly to local businesses. Our goal is to make mental health more accessible during the workday— and we need your help to spread the word. Whether you’re a business owner looking to boost team morale, or an employee wishing your workplace offered more support, we’re here to help.
Let’s be honest. Taking time for ourselves and prioritizing our mental health can be even more challenging these days. With the shift that is happening with work schedules, many people find themselves having less flexibility, longer commute times, and facing uncertain situations. People know they want support and yet with their schedules and daily responsibilities, they are grappling with how to find this much needed time for themselves during the day. Even with the best of intentions, prioritizing our own mental health can often take a back seat to other important needs for ourselves and others. We understand how difficult it can be and we are working to adapt alongside you. That is why we will now be offering personalized and tailored workplace wellness services. Let’s dive into what this can look like in your workplace:
Individual therapy: What we are finding is that many individuals are not able to meet for therapy during the day due to their work schedules and thus are being put on long waitlists and not able to access the care that they need. In order to address this need, we are offering therapy services to employees through the workplace. Our practice is in network with BCBS and Anthem and therapy sessions can be offered on a weekly basis either in-person at the office or via telehealth.
Wellness Workshops and Presentations: Our clinicians offer small and large group trainings to employees on topics such as managing stress, anxiety, burnout, resilience, and work-life balance. We will work to structure the presentation based on your organization’s needs and goals.
Peer Support Groups and Wellness Circles: In the spirit of building meaningful connections, an additional service being offered to businesses is therapist facilitated employee support groups, providing a space for staff to come together in a supportive environment.
The necessity of prioritizing mental health at work is clear. The Office of the Surgeon General highlights the importance of workplace mental health and wellbeing and has created a comprehensive framework and resources for organizations which can be found here. According to the Mind the Workplace 2024 report conducted by Mental Health America (MHA), “workplace cultures built on trust and support improve employees’ experiences of belonging, psychological safety, and empowerment at work.” At Think Happy Live Healthy, we believe that providing mental health and wellness services to employees is a powerful way to foster a workplace culture built on these tenants of trust and support.
